Ready to take ownership of XIVER’s operational heartbeat?
As Chief Operating Officer (COO) you play a central role in turning XIVER’s technology and innovation into measurable operational results on the factory floor. You will oversee the full operational organization, from production and maintenance to continuous improvement, ensuring that every product leaves our fab on time and with the highest quality.
You are responsible for translating XIVER’s growth ambitions into efficient and reliable Operations. You make sure production runs smoothly, resources are used effectively, and teams work toward shared goals in quality, delivery and performance.
As COO you lead a diverse and highly skilled operations organization. The Operations department includes Facility, Manufacturing, Maintenance, NPI/CI Managers, as well as Production Planning. Together with Team Leads you guide a wider team of 45 professionals of operators, maintenance engineers, NPI Engineers, process improvement specialists and production planners ensuring alignment, collaboration and excellence across all operational areas.
You collaborate closely with other functions like Development, Quality, Business Development, and the Leadership Team to bridge the gap between innovation and execution. In an ISO certified management system environment, you validate new processes, lead operational readiness for new product introductions, and continuously improve manufacturing performance. Together with your Team Leads you focus on ownership, collaboration, continuous improvement, and developing the people in your department. Ensuring that XIVER’s operational backbone grows in step with its technological ambitions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and optimize daily operations to ensure on-time, high-quality delivery to customers
- Translate strategic business goals into clear operational roadmaps and measurable KPIs
- Lead gate reviews for new product introductions and ensure readiness for volume manufacturing
- Oversee production planning, resource allocation and process efficiency across all operational areas
- Manage a multidisciplinary team of approximately 45 professionals
- Drive operational excellence through continuous improvement, lean practices and data-driven decisions
- Collaborate with Quality, HSE and Process Development teams to secure stable and compliant operations and ensure that adherence to applicable ISO standards is maintained all the time.
- Take ownership of incidents, lead root-cause investigations (8D, NC) and mobilize cross-functional teams
- Build and maintain a strong performance culture focused on efficiency, accountability and innovation
- Ensure that the factory organization remains flexible and scalable as customer demand evolves
What helps you succeed in this role
You combine a strong (technical) foundation with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. Operations Management, Engineering, Science) and have at least 5 years of experience in leading Operations in a high-tech or manufacturing environment. You enjoy solving complex challenges, thrive on improving systems and processes, and know how to turn plans into tangible results.
Furthermore, you demonstrate the following strengths:
- Excellent communication skills in English (Dutch or other languages are a plus)
- Strong affinity with the high-tech industry, innovation and MEMS/semiconductor markets
