MEMS Business Developer

What you will do:

As Business Development Manager MEMS, you are at the forefront of XIVER’s growth strategy. You will identify and engage with new customers, explore untapped market segments, and help define the future roadmap of our foundry business. You’ll be instrumental in shaping long-term commercial partnerships and turning complex, technical challenges into exciting business opportunities.

This is not just about lead generation—it’s about building relationships, uncovering needs, and translating deep tech into real value for customers. Next to new customers, you will work with us on a portfolio of existing customers to be the bridge between them and our technical teams, identify upselling opportunities, and ensure those customers experience the full value of partnering with XIVER MEMS.

You’ll collaborate closely with Process Development, Operations, Marketing and senior leadership, and play a key role in positioning XIVER MEMS as a top-tier partner in the global MEMS ecosystem.

How you’ll make an impact
 

  • Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities in emerging and established markets and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective customers and partners
  • Translate customer needs into high-level technical and commercial proposals together with your colleagues from Process Development and Operations
  • Manage and grow relationships with existing international clients and create true customer intimacy and insight
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, escalations, and project coordination 
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling within your accounts
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and innovation developments
  • Contribute to the strategic positioning of XIVER in key application domains (e.g., sensors, medical, industrial)
  • Support forecasting, pipeline development, and customer reporting 
  • Represent XIVER at trade shows, conferences, and networking events (international travel expected)


What helps you to succeed in this role

  • master’s degree or PhD in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Physics, Electronics, Materials Science)
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, strategic sales, or partnership roles in a B2B/high-tech environment
  • Excellent communication skills in English (Dutch or other languages are a plus)
  • Strong affinity with the high-tech industry, innovation, and MEMS/semiconductor markets
  • A keen sense of stakeholder management
  • Commercial instinct combined with a structured, analytical approach to opportunity development
  • Enthusiastic, hands-on, and comfortable navigating ambiguity in a fast-growing organization
